SWINDON MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER MAKING AI IMAGES OF 5 KIDS
A man from Swindon has been spared immediate imprisonment after creating fake photographs of five children using artificial intelligence technology.Christopher King, age 47, from Mazurek Way in Haydon End, Swindon, admitted to eight charges of producing indecent images and fabricated photographs of minors, as well as engaging in sexual communication with a child, during a previous hearing at Swindon Magistrates' Court on March 26.
From July 21, 2023, to August 23, 2024, King sent sexually explicit messages to a minor under 16 on TikTok.
He also generated inappropriate images of children and produced pseudo-photographs with AI from December 29, 2023, to January 17, 2025.
In total, he created 20 category C images, three category B images, three category A images, and 18 pseudo-photographs involving five different victims.
On May 15, at Swindon Crown Court, King received a sentence of three years in prison, which was suspended for three years.
He is also required to undertake 35 sessions of rehabilitative activities and complete 250 hours of unpaid community service.
Judge Taylor ordered him to pay a total of £4,000 in compensation to the victims.
Additionally, he will be registered as a sex offender indefinitely, and a sexual harm prevention order has been imposed.
