PAEDOPHILE WITH 43,000 CHILD ABUSE IMAGES HANDED SUSPENDED SENTENCE

Christopher Jolly, a 38-year-old man from Ollerton, was found to have committed serious offenses involving child abuse and possession of indecent images of children.

He handed a young girl a paint wand used for decorating Warhammer figures and told her, 'you will figure it out, don’t tell anyone,' implying a sexual context.

Police discovered over 43,000 child abuse images and videos on his phone after launching an investigation into his behaviour.

Jolly admitted to accessing the dark web for years to download 'the worst of the worst' images, which included 81 category A images, 111 category B images, and 1,264 other indecent images, as well as 101 prohibited cartoons and child faces imposed on adults.

He pleaded guilty to inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, three counts of possessing indecent images, and possessing prohibited images.

Jolly had a previous three-year sentence for wounding with intent.

He received an 18-month prison sentence suspended for two years, must attend a sex offender treatment program and 30 rehab sessions, is on the sex offender register for 10 years, and has a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
