PULHAM PENSIONER USED WOMAN’S INTERNET TO VIEW CHILD ABUSE
: Police raided the home of Christopher Hunt, 74, after a pensioner used her internet connection to view hundreds of thousands of explicit images of children.Hunt admitted to possessing more than 102,510 indecent images, including some depicting torture and rape, with a total of 734 Category A, 366 Category B, and 101,410 Category C images.
Analysis of seized devices revealed additional extreme pornographic footage featuring threats of killing.
Hunt’s collection spanned from 2016 until his arrest in May 2024.
The images depicted children as young as four in pain and distress.
District Judge Matthew Bone committed Hunt's sentencing to Norwich Crown Court on May 18, citing the large volume and duration of offending.
Hunt received a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and was granted bail with conditions restricting internet use to devices that retain browsing history for police inspection.
He is working with the Stop It sex offenders programme to address his behaviour.
