GRIMSBY OFFENDER CHRISTOPHER HODDS CONVICTED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGES
In October 2018, a case heard during the same court session at Grimsby Crown Court, Christopher Hodds, aged 33 and residing on Stanley Street in Grimsby, admitted to three offences of making indecent images of children.Police executed a search of Hodds' bedroom on October 10 of the previous year, uncovering 35 indecent images of children.
The youngest child depicted in these images was just seven years old.
Further investigation revealed that Hodds had a total of 401 files of indecent images, which he had attempted to conceal by moving them to the recycling bin of his computer.
It was also discovered that he had previously used a sophisticated cleaning program seven times to erase evidence of his activities.
Hodds expressed concern about the impact of his actions on his employment, indicating that he might lose his job due to the offences.
The court sentenced him to a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered him to complete 26 sessions of a treatment program along with five days of rehabilitation.
He was also issued a seven-year sexual harm prevention order and is required to register as a sex offender for seven years.
