CHRISTOPHER FLEMING'S BRUTAL FIFE DOMESTIC ABUSE SPREE REACHES COURT

A man named Christopher Fleming, residing in Fife, has been convicted after a lengthy and disturbing history of domestic violence spanning over two decades.

The allegations against Fleming detail a pattern of relentless abuse directed at two former partners, with incidents occurring at various locations across Fife, including Dunfermline, Steelend, Cowdenbeath, Oakley, Rosyth, Lochgelly, and Kirkcaldy.

Fleming’s violent actions date back to the early 1990s, with the earliest recorded incident taking place between October 24, 1992, and October 23, 1994, at an address in Steelend.

During this period, he was accused of physically assaulting his then-partner by pushing her on the body.

The violence escalated over the years, with further assaults occurring at different addresses, including Cowdenbeath between October 24, 1993, and February 22, 1995, where he was alleged to have seized her arms, pinned her down, and kicked her, causing injury.

One of the most disturbing episodes involved Fleming injuring his one-year-old son by throwing a slipper that struck the child's face, resulting in permanent disfigurement.

This incident was reported to have occurred on April 30, 1994, on Perth Road.

The child's current age is 25, indicating the severity and long-lasting impact of the abuse.

The court proceedings, held at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, lasted five days, during which a jury found Fleming guilty of multiple charges.

The court heard detailed accounts of his violent conduct, which included assaults on his partners at various locations and times.

For instance, between February 22, 1995, and November 20, 1996, Fleming was accused of pinning his then-partner to the floor at an address in Oakley.

Later, between November 1, 1996, and October 31, 1999, at Admiralty Road in Rosyth, he allegedly assaulted her while driving, punching her in the face and causing injury.

Further allegations detailed repeated and severe violence from September 20, 2004, to January 31, 2016, at an address in Lochgelly and during car journeys between Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly.

During this period, Fleming was accused of repeatedly punching his partner, pulling her hair, seizing her by the throat, and causing her physical harm.

The court also heard about a particularly violent incident during Christmas 2014 to early January 2015, where Fleming allegedly assaulted a woman by punching, kicking, pinning her to a bed, seizing her by the throat, and even causing her to fall down stairs and hit her head against a wall, all of which inflicted serious injuries.

Judge Charles MacNair, presiding over the case, called for reports and scheduled sentencing for April 18.

He expressed some hesitation but allowed Fleming’s bail to continue pending sentencing.

The case highlights a disturbing pattern of domestic violence that spanned over two decades, involving multiple victims and locations across Fife, illustrating the persistent and pervasive nature of Fleming’s abusive behavior.
