CHRISTOPHER FERIS
Christopher Feris, 49, admitted having the doctored photograph of an 11-year-old girl on his PC at Swindon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that police had seized Feris’s computer as part of an investigation.
Defending Michaela Rose said that there was no sexual motivation behind the image.
“The photograph taken of the victim was innocent as it was not posed,” she said.
Miss Rose said that Feris had admitted having the image on his computer to police and had shown genuine remorse.
“While he can’t explain why he did what he did, it was not sexually motivated,” she told the court.
Feris was given a 12-month community order and must sign on to the sex offenders’ register for five years.
He was also told to pay £60 costs.
