MAN AND WOMAN SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST CHILD
Two individuals have received prison sentences after authorities uncovered a disturbing case involving a disgusting woman who attempted to facilitate a meeting with her young daughter and a Shropshire man with a history of paedophilia.Christopher Brownhill, aged 38 from Linley View Drive in Bridgnorth, connected with the woman through an online dating platform in 2017.
During their conversations, they quickly revealed a shared sexual interest in children.
The woman, also from Shropshire and protected by anonymity for legal reasons, sent Brownhill non-explicit pictures of her one-year-old daughter.
After communicating online, they agreed to meet in person, with the woman intending to bring her child along.
Although the planned meeting never took place and Brownhill did not meet the child, he continued chatting with the woman online, during which he detailed what he intended to do to her daughter if they met.
Following an intelligence tip-off, police launched an investigation, culminating in the arrests of both parties after two years of online contact.
They faced charges related to arranging or facilitating a child sex offence.
Their guilt was confirmed during a two-week trial earlier this year.
The investigation further revealed Brownhill had communicated with another woman about his sexual attraction to children.
They discussed an arrangement for Brownhill to assault the woman’s twin nieces, aged one.
At Shrewsbury Crown Court on 12 June, Brownhill was sentenced to 11 years in prison, while the woman received a six-year term.
Both men were ordered to comply with Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and are now registered sex offenders for life.
The court also noted that the child involved has no ongoing contact with her mother.
