CHRISTIAN DIAMANT FROM CANTERBURY AND BRIDGE CAUGHT WITH CHILD SEX IMAGES AT WHITE HORSE INN
In a case that has shocked the local community, Christian Diamant, the owner of the White Horse Inn in Bridge near Canterbury, was found to be in possession of a disturbing collection of child sexual abuse images and videos. The incident came to light after police conducted an arrest in January, during which they discovered that Diamant, aged 51, had on his mobile device a total of 28 indecent images and three videos depicting children involved in sexual activities.
Diamant’s background is notable, as he previously served as a footman to the Royal Family, working at both Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
His service included attending state visits and participating in the wedding of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
Despite his distinguished past, his recent actions have cast a shadow over his reputation and his business.
According to court records, Diamant admitted to possessing the illicit images and videos.
Furthermore, he disclosed an addiction to engaging with gay men on the Grindr app, which included online chats and video calls where he discussed and watched child sex abuse material.
This behavior was revealed during his court appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on a Friday, where he faced sentencing after pleading guilty to the charges.
In sentencing, Recorder Trimmer decided not to impose a period of community service, citing concerns that such a requirement might negatively impact Diamant’s business operations at the White Horse Inn.
Instead, he was sentenced to a two-year community rehabilitation order, which includes a condition that he attend a specialized sex offenders’ program to address his behavior.
Diamant’s roots trace back to Eastling in Faversham, where he grew up before his service to the Royal Family.
His case has raised serious questions about privacy, accountability, and the ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation, especially involving individuals with seemingly respectable backgrounds.
