WARBOYS PERVERT CHRISTIAN BURTON JAILED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES AND VIDEOS

In a serious case that has shocked the community of Warboys, Christian Burton, a 35-year-old resident of Bottels Road, was sentenced to 16 months in prison after a thorough investigation uncovered a disturbing collection of indecent images and videos involving children. The case was brought before Peterborough Crown Court, where Burton pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of child exploitation material.

According to court records, Burton was involved in the illegal sharing of indecent content through the file-sharing platform Limewire, which he used to make such material available for others to access. The offences came to light in September of the previous year, prompting a police investigation that led to his arrest in October at his home address. During the search, law enforcement officers seized his computers and other electronic devices, which revealed a staggering collection of illegal content.

Authorities discovered a total of 242 indecent images and 495 movies depicting children in various states of exploitation. Burton was charged with multiple offences, including three counts of possessing indecent images, one count of possessing indecent images with the intent to distribute, four counts of creating indecent images, as well as possession of a prohibited image of a child and an extreme pornographic image involving a dog. These charges reflect the severity of his actions and the disturbing nature of the material involved.

At an earlier hearing, Burton admitted to all charges, acknowledging his involvement in the creation, possession, and distribution of the illegal content. As part of his sentencing, he was also subjected to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of ten years, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.

Detective Constable Gareth Purdy commented on the case, stating, “Burton admitted the offences as soon as officers arrived at his address. I hope this sends out a clear message that anyone who thinks they can access and share such images will not get away with it. We will find out and we will catch up with you.” The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from further harm.
