CONTROLLING BOYFRIEND JAILED FOR KIDNAP AND LIFE-CHANGING INJURIES TO TEEN GIRL

The van traveled at 60mph along the A6 in Mountsorrel, and Angel fell out of the vehicle around 10.45am.

Angel sustained catastrophic injuries, including a fractured skull and brain damage, leaving her unable to walk, talk, or communicate and requiring 24-hour care.
Despite her family's efforts and medical treatment, her condition is lifelong and life-changing.
Bowskill, of Syston, was found guilty of kidnap, coercive and controlling behavior, and perverting the course of justice, though he was cleared of causing grievous bodily harm.
He was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison.
His accomplice, Rocco Sansome, of Birstall, received a 21-month sentence.
Angel's father, Paddy Lynn, expressed devastation over her injuries, stating, "Our lives have been changed beyond recognition forever," and described her injuries as catastrophic, leading to lifelong consequences.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Yarwood praised the family’s resilience and emphasized the severity of Angel’s injuries and ongoing needs.
