In a highly controversial case that has sparked widespread debate, Catherine Armstrong, a 33-year-old woman from Thame, was brought before the court on charges related to her inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor.The incident involved a 15-year-old boy, who, due to learning difficulties, is unable to be identified publicly.

According to court records, Armstrong had promised the young boy a sexual encounter as a birthday gift when he was about to turn 16.
Despite the promise, she engaged in sexual activities with him multiple times while he was still only 15 years old.
Initially, Armstrong denied the allegations, attempting to dismiss the accusations.
However, she later admitted to two counts of sexual activity with a child and an additional charge of touching him while in a position of trust, acknowledging her misconduct.
