July 2015 Henley man jailed for sex offences against children A Henley man has been jailed for 12 years after being convicted of sexual offences against children in Oxfordshire. Carmine Agostino, of Vicarage Road in Henley, was found guilty by a unanimous jury at Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday July 29 of one count of rape of a child aged under 16, one count of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault. Mr Agostino committed the offences between May 2004 and May 2005, but was not arrested until February 2014. The 58-year-old was sentenced on the day he was convicted to 12 years in prison for rape of a child under 16, five years in prison for assault by penetration and three years imprisonment for sexual assault. The latter two offences are to run concurrently.
