SWINDON SEX OFFENDER CARL WALLIS SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND FILMING VICTIM UNCONSCIOUS
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Swindon, a man identified as Carl Wallis has been convicted and sentenced for a heinous sexual assault that took place in 2016.Wallis, a resident of Brookdene, Haydon Wick, was found guilty of raping an unconscious woman without her consent, an act that he recorded on video, leading to his eventual arrest and prosecution.
Wallis's crime came to light only after the footage he recorded was discovered on an old mobile phone six years later.
The victim, who had been asleep at the time of the assault, came across the video and pictures on her device, which prompted her to contact the police.

I feel dirty and humiliated… I will never be free from the monster.” Detective Constable Anna McCormack, who led the investigation, emphasized the profound impact such crimes have on victims.
She highlighted that the victim was at her most vulnerable—unconscious and trusting—when the assault occurred.
DC McCormack praised the victim’s bravery in coming forward and providing evidence, which was crucial to securing the conviction.
