According to reports, Holden first approached a 14-year-old girl on Westgate, engaging in inappropriate behavior that was witnessed by the victim. Just four days later, he was seen outside Balshaw High School on Church Street, where he again committed a similar act in the presence of a 15-year-old girl. Following his guilty plea, Holden was sentenced to 14 months in prison. Sgt Ian Derbyshire, of Leyland CID, expressed his condemnation of Holden’s conduct, stating, “Holden is a serious sexual criminal with no regards for his victims. To have carried out these crimes shows first-hand what a threat he is to both Leyland and South Ribble as a whole. He traumatised two young girls with these dreadful acts, and his jailing and placement on the sex offenders register is welcomed.”
