Beckington Child Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Beckington, a man named Callum James Rigby has been found guilty of possessing and creating highly illegal and disturbing images involving children and animals. The incident dates back to a period between September 12, 2015, and June 21, 2016, during which Rigby, a 23-year-old resident of Webbs Mead in Beckington, engaged in the production of 15 indecent videos of a child, classified as the most serious Category A offenses under the law.

In addition to these grave crimes, Rigby admitted to two other offenses involving one image and two videos categorized as Category B, as well as two images and four videos classified as Category C. These categories reflect the severity and nature of the content, with Category A being the most heinous. Furthermore, Rigby confessed to possessing an extreme pornographic image that depicted a person engaging in sexual acts with a live animal, specifically a dog. This material was described as grossly offensive, disgusting, and obscene, highlighting the severity of his actions.

The case came to light when Rigby’s former partner discovered a USB stick in his bedroom at their shared residence. The discovery occurred in July of the previous year, when she was searching through a black folder in their bedroom for her driving license. Upon finding the USB, she took it to her parents’ house the following day and examined its contents. To her horror, she found numerous images of Rigby’s former girlfriends in the nude, along with videos and pictures of children involved in sexual acts, as well as disturbing images of humans engaging in sexual activities with a dog.

Realizing the gravity of what she had uncovered, she confronted Rigby, who entered the room while she was viewing the contents. She quickly hid the USB stick, but Rigby repeatedly asked her if she had it and searched the entire bedroom and her car in an attempt to locate it. He even took days off work to continue searching for the device, indicating his desperation to conceal the evidence.

On July 25, she returned home and further examined the contents of the USB, which caused her significant distress. Recognizing the seriousness of the material, she reported the matter to the police three days later. Rigby was subsequently arrested at his workplace. During police interviews, he chose not to comment on the allegations but later pleaded guilty to all charges in court.

The magistrates’ court adjourned the case until July 6 to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the Probation Service. In the meantime, Rigby was released on unconditional bail and was ordered to register on the national Sex Offenders Register within three days of the court hearing, underscoring the gravity of his crimes and the ongoing legal process.
