FORMER STORROR YOUTUBER CALLUM POWELL GIVEN SUSPENDED PRISON SENTENCE
Callum Powell, a former member of the parkour YouTube group Storror and a content creator on YouTube, has received a 12-month suspended prison sentence after admitting to multiple charges related to indecent images of minors.
The Brighton Magistrates' Court decided he would not serve immediate jail time but cautioned that he could be imprisoned if he commits another offence or violates the conditions of his sentence.
Powell was expelled from the Storror group in May following his guilty plea, which came as a surprise to the team.
District Judge Amanda Kelly stated that Powell initially denied intentionally searching for such images, claiming that AI software was involved, but he later confessed to deriving sexual pleasure from the images before pleading guilty.
The court mandated that he complete 15 days of Rehabilitation Activity and issued a warning that he could face jail if he breaches the rules or commits further crimes.
This case marked the end of Powell’s association with Storror, which publicly expressed shock and outrage over his actions.
