OXFORD MAN JAILED FOR ATTEMPTED DOMESTIC STRANGULATION
A 27-year-old man named Callum Kenward was sentenced to more than two years in prison after he tried to strangle his wife with a dressing gown cord following a confrontation over his infidelity.The incident occurred on June 12, and he threatened to rape his wife and pressed her by the throat, stating that if he was going to jail, he would do it properly.
Judge Recorder John Bate-Williams stated, "You clearly never learned the very basic rule we all learned in the playground at primary school and that is you never ever hit a woman."
