Lochgelly Domestic Abuser
In a dramatic turn of events at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, Callum Fairgreave, a 30-year-old resident of McGregor Avenue, Lochgelly, attempted to evade justice in a highly publicized case involving serious allegations of domestic abuse. As the sheriff was about to sentence him for multiple violent offenses, Fairgreave suddenly leapt from the dock and bolted out of the courtroom, prompting a swift police chase that ended with his recapture.

Fairgreave's escape was a startling moment in the courtroom proceedings. Witnesses reported that he tripped on the stairs outside the court building and fell onto the street pavement before police officers managed to apprehend him. The officers quickly restrained him and escorted him back into the courthouse's holding cells, bringing an abrupt halt to the sentencing process.

The charges against Fairgreave stem from two separate incidents of violent assault. The first incident occurred on June 8th of the previous year at Russell Street in Lochgelly, where he admitted to attacking his former partner. The assault culminated with him headbutting her, resulting in injuries that required medical attention.

Less than two weeks later, on June 18th, Fairgreave assaulted his current partner at his residence on McGregor Avenue. The court heard that he repeatedly punched her in the head and body, again seized her by the neck and compressed it, restricting her airflow. The attack further involved him throwing a piece of glass at her and banging her head against the stairs, all of which caused her significant injury.

In addition to the violent assaults, Fairgreave also admitted to driving while banned and without insurance on December 8th at a road near Lochgelly Centre on Bank Street. This breach of driving restrictions added to the severity of his case.

During the proceedings, defense solicitor Stephen Morrison expressed remorse on behalf of his client, stating that Fairgreave was
