BRUTAL RAPE IN LONDON: BUJAR JASHARI AND RINOR KORQA SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC CRIME
Two men, identified as Bujar Jashari and Rinor Korqa, have been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of a heinous sexual assault that took place in London. The incident, which shocked the local community, involved the brutal rape of a woman in a car during a night out in Hornchurch town centre, located in east London, last June.
According to court reports, Bujar Jashari, aged 34 and residing on Victoria Road in Southend, received a sentence of seven years in prison for his involvement in the attack.
His co-defendant, Rinor Korqa, aged 25 and from Romford in east London, was sentenced to five years and six months for his role in the assault, which also included failing to disclose his mobile phone PIN to authorities.
The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was out with friends when she became separated from them.
During her time alone in a local bar, she was approached by the two men.
They then took her to a nearby car, where the assault occurred.
The woman displayed remarkable bravery by speaking out about her ordeal and contacting the police, which was instrumental in bringing the offenders to justice.
Police investigations revealed that both Jashari and Korqa had been seen approaching multiple women prior to the incident.
Witnesses from a nearby bar confirmed that the two men had been observed approaching several women before eventually leaving with the victim.
The attack was recorded by Korqa on his mobile phone, a piece of evidence that played a crucial role in the conviction.
Following their arrest and subsequent trial, both men were convicted of rape at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
The court described them as “predatory offenders,” emphasizing that they would likely have continued offending if they had not been apprehended.
The sentencing took place on January 24, during which the court highlighted the severity of their actions and the danger they posed to the community.
In addition to the prison sentences, the court noted that Korqa had failed to disclose his mobile phone PIN, which was considered an aggravating factor in his sentencing.
The convictions and sentences serve as a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat sexual violence and protect victims in London and beyond.
