BRETT CLEWES FROM STOURBRIDGE SENTENCED TO 30 MONTHS FOR CHILD SEXUAL IMAGE OFFENSES

A man from Stourbridge, Brett Clewes, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after being found to have downloaded over 5,000 indecent images of children, including infants. Clewes targeted women with the intent of taking indecent photographs and was recorded using a website based in Russia related to paedophilia. Authorities seized electronic equipment which contained numerous images of children ranging from infants to teenagers. Police revealed that Clewes’s offending behavior had persisted for nearly nine years. The 43-year-old admitted multiple charges, including making indecent images and possessing indecent photographs. As part of his sentence, Clewes is also required to register as a sex offender for ten years.
