ANGLESEY MAN, 36, ADMITS GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM ON PENSIONER IN HOLYHEAD
A resident of Anglesey has confessed to causing serious injury to an elderly man.
The assault occurred on Friday, January 10, in the Tan Yr Efail locality of Holyhead, involving Brendan Kenny, who was in his late seventies.
Jason Mark Owen, 36 years old and from Llaingoch in Holyhead, admitted guilt to the charge of grievous bodily harm during a hearing at Caernarfon Crown Court on February 17.
Alongside the GBH charge, Owen also acknowledged engaging in threatening conduct related to the same incident.
He is currently held in custody and is due to be sentenced on Tuesday, March 18, at which point a pre-sentence report will be prepared.
Presiding judge Nicola Jones cautioned Owen that "Clearly, the custody threshold has been crossed," indicating the seriousness of the case.
The sentencing process will continue with further legal proceedings before the final decision is made.
