‘DEPRAVED’ FOSTER PARENTS TO BE JAILED FOR ABUSE AND NEGLECT

Jeff and Brenda Tanner, who previously served as foster parents, were found guilty of mistreating and assaulting children and a woman with disabilities.

Jeff Tanner was identified as the primary perpetrator, with accusations including forcing a boy to consume feces and urine, as well as making another child dance naked while carrying heavy weights.

All the victims had special educational needs.

The couple, who worked for Cambridgeshire council during the 1980s, faced over 20 charges in April, though their sentencing was postponed until the following month.

A judge described Jeff Tanner as the main offender.

The council admitted that improvements had been implemented since the 1980s and 1990s.
