SEX OFFENDER FOUND WITH CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN LOWESTOFT
Brandon Stephenson, a 26-year-old sex offender, was discovered possessing images related to child abuse and an unregistered phone several months after a five-year protective order was issued against him.Despite the restrictions, he set up cloud storage accounts and used applications such as Dropbox.
Authorities uncovered 27 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse, categorized as level A, along with additional images in categories B and C.
At Norwich Magistrates’ Court, he admitted to charges of possessing indecent images, violating a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), and failing to notify authorities as required for sex offenders.
He was detained in custody until his sentencing at Ipswich Crown Court scheduled for June 22.
An inspection of his residence also revealed a new mobile device that he had not registered.
The report highlights that he continued to offend even after the five-year order, thereby endangering potential victims.
