Rosyth Man Guilty of Assaulting Partner and Resisting Police

A woman was left injured after being pushed and kicked by her partner in Rosyth. Brandon Cross, 35, of Loch Street, Townhill, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for four offences committed on October 14. He admitted that he repeatedly shouted, swore, acted aggressively and made offensive comments to police officers. He also admitted that he resisted police officers, tensed his arms, threw his body around, lashed out with his legs and pulled away in an attempt to evade arrest. After a trial he was found guilty of two further offences. He assaulted his partner by repeatedly pushing her on the body and kicking her, causing injury. He also repeatedly shouted, swore and behaved aggressively toward his partner. Sheriff Francis Gill sentenced him to a 10-week restriction of liberty order and a two-year non-harassment order.
