A man from Dunfermline has been convicted of serious sexual offences involving a young girl. Bradley Young, aged 22 and residing on Arthur Street in Dunfermline, faced a jury trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he was found guilty on multiple charges. The court heard that between February 1, 2019, and January 12, 2020, Young engaged in a series of inappropriate and criminal acts targeting a girl who was only 14 years old at the time.During this period, Young repeatedly sent sexual messages to the young girl through social media platforms, making explicit comments that were highly inappropriate given her age. He also coerced her into sending nude images of herself, further exploiting her vulnerability. These communications and coercive acts took place at various locations within Dunfermline, including Townhill Loch and other addresses in the town.
In addition to the online misconduct, Young was also convicted of performing sexual acts on the girl at different locations in Dunfermline. These acts constitute serious criminal behavior and highlight the extent of his misconduct during the period in question.
Furthermore, the court found him guilty of purchasing alcohol for minors on multiple occasions during the same timeframe. This aspect of his conduct adds to the severity of his criminal record and raises concerns about his interactions with underage individuals in the community.
Although the verdict was delivered, the sentencing was deferred until January 18.
