BOBBY RUDD AND SHOCKING CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN ESSEX
A man with a history of working in educational settings in Essex has been confirmed to have committed serious child sex offences, resulting in a significant prison sentence.Bobby Rudd, aged 36, residing on Pentland Avenue in Thorpe Bay, was sentenced to two years and four months behind bars following his conviction at Basildon Crown Court.
Rudd's criminal charges included engaging in sexual communications with a minor, as well as inducing a child to watch a sexual act.
These actions constituted a pronounced violation of trust and caused considerable concern among the local community and authorities.
The court also found him guilty of five counts of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust, highlighting the betrayal of the responsibilities associated with his former roles.
Prior to his arrest, Rudd had been employed as a music teacher at Shoebury High School and served as the head of music at King Edmund School in Rochford.

Shoebury High School’s headteacher, Clare Costello, publicly stated, “Although this person is no longer a member of staff, I understand there will be concern among former and current students, parents, and the wider school community.” She also confirmed that the school followed all proper procedures upon being contacted by Essex Police, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved.
Similarly, King Edmund School issued a statement urging parents with concerns to reach out directly to the headteacher, Mr.
Jonathan Osborn.
