BILLY WHITEHOUSE AND SHOCKING CRIMES IN LANCASHIRE
A disturbing case involving Billy Whitehouse, a man from Lancashire who has committed multiple serious sexual offenses, has culminated in a court sentencing after a detailed investigation by Lancashire Police.The timeline of his criminal acts reveals a pattern of predatory behavior that has left his victims deeply traumatized.
In May 2020, Whitehouse, who was just 16 years old at the time of the offences and is now 18, lured a 14-year-old girl into an abandoned shed located in Burnley, a town within Lancashire.
It was there that he engaged in kissing her before proceeding to have sexual intercourse with her, fully aware that she was underage.
This act constituted rape, and the gravity of his crime was confirmed when he was formally charged with that offence.
During the course of his legal proceedings at Preston Crown Court, Whitehouse initially faced charges that included rape.
However, partway through the trial, he chose to plead guilty to a lesser charge—engaging in sexual activity with a child.
The prosecution agreed to this plea, recognizing it as an acceptable resolution given the circumstances.
The case took a more disturbing turn in December 2021 when Whitehouse threatened to stab a second victim.
Following this threat, he physically assaulted her by punching her in the face, causing her to lose consciousness.
After regaining consciousness, the victim was taken into a house where Whitehouse proceeded to sexually assault her again.
His violence did not end there; he fractured her hand, urinated on her, and threatened to release private sexual images he had secretly recorded of her without her knowledge.
Whitehouse also carried out further acts of sexual violence against this second victim, causing her lasting physical and emotional trauma.
Following a court trial, Whitehouse, residing on Green Street in Padiham, was found guilty on multiple counts, including rape, assault by penetration, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and making threats to disclose private sexual images.
These convictions highlight the seriousness and the extent of his offending.
On March 14, Whitehouse appeared before the court once more, where he received a substantial sentence of eight years in custody.
In addition to his imprisonment, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, a measure designed to protect the community and monitor his conduct post-release.
Victims of these crimes delivered emotionally charged statements during the proceedings.
The second victim shared the profound and ongoing impact of her ordeal, stating: “I struggle getting to sleep, and when I do sleep, I have severe nightmares.
This affects me at work because I am already exhausted.
I have been prescribed anti-depressants due to what Billy put me through.
The effects are long-lasting and go far beyond the incidents themselves.
I am still dealing with the aftermath every single day.” She further expressed her hope for a future where she can gradually rebuild her life without Billy’s presence causing further harm, acknowledging the deep and invisible scars left by his actions.
“I had many aspirations for my life and still do, but this is something that people can’t see.
It's pain I will carry with me forever.
It has changed how I see myself and others, and I have come out a different person.
The impact is ongoing and persistent, almost like a life sentence,” she said.
Detective Constable Matthew Bourne of East CID commented on the case, emphasizing the dangers posed by Whitehouse’s actions.
“Whitehouse is someone who presents a significant threat to women and girls, displaying a warped sense of entitlement and an appalling attitude toward them.
Despite his young age, the crimes he has committed are extremely serious and will have long-lasting effects on his victims.” He added that he welcomed the sentence and the ongoing monitoring measures that would be in place for Whitehouse after his release.
“This case should serve as an encouragement for other victims of sexual offences to come forward.
They will be believed, listened to, and we will do everything in our power to ensure justice is served and perpetrators are held accountable.”
