MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH RAPE
A man has been scheduled to appear in court in connection with an incident of rape at Nuneaton railway station in Warwickshire.British Transport Police (BTP) officers tracked down Billy Ormiston in Plymouth City Centre on the afternoon of Friday, June 5, and subsequently detained him.
Ormiston, aged 36 and without a fixed address, is expected to face Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, June 8, charged with two counts of rape and one of sexual assault.
During their investigation, BTP officers carried out warrants at two different addresses in Plymouth on the night of June 5.
A woman was also detained on suspicion of assisting a suspect and was taken into custody but was later released on bail while investigations continue.
The police responded to reports of a rape at Nuneaton railway station at approximately 9:24 pm on Friday, March 13.
