A violent rapist from Medway has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after carrying out multiple attacks and sexual offences against his victim.
Billy Cass, 34 years old, from Rainham High Street, was convicted of raping his victim on several occasions, some while she was asleep.
He also sent her threatening messages and physically assaulted her.
The jury at Southwark Crown Court found Cass guilty of four counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one charge of causing actual bodily harm.
He had earlier admitted to a harassment charge involving threats to his victim.
On November 5, 2025, Cass received his sentence and will be placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
A permanent restraining order has also been issued to prevent him from approaching his victim.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Stephanie Wilson said: ‘The abuse suffered by the victim in this case was horrendous and sustained.
Cass’ horrific actions have led to serious harm and will no doubt have a long lasting impact on the victim.
'We commend the bravery of the victim in coming to us and disclosing her experiences.
The detail of her account has led to the sentence we see today.
We’re satisfied Cass will spend a considerable time behind bars, where he will hopefully reflect on the cruelty he has unleashed.’
