TIPTON TEACHER CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AVOIDS JAIL
Benjamin Woodvine, a 32-year-old educator from Tipton, avoided jail after his arrest at a Dudley school where he was found in possession of indecent images and videos depicting minors.
The West Midlands Police child exploitation unit uncovered that he had uploaded explicit photographs of children online.
During a search of his residence on Monnis Avenue, authorities recovered evidence including nine Category A images, which are classified as the most severe in terms of age and sexual content.
The search also yielded 14 images in Category B, another 14 in Category C, and a single video.
At the time of his arrest, Woodvine was employed as a teacher, and the arrest took place during a raid on the school premises.
His brother, who was present at the property, handed a mobile phone over to police.
Woodvine admitted to six charges of creating indecent images of children spanning from May 2023 to July 2024 at Dudley Magistrates Court, and he was subsequently sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
