MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man responsible for child sexual abuse received a six-year prison sentence following a police raid on his residence, where investigators found substantial evidence against him.Last year, authorities became aware that 34-year-old Benjamin Stafford, who was residing in Bidford at the time, might possess illegal indecent images of minors.
During the police operation, officers seized electronic devices from his home and ultimately arrested him.
Forensic analysis uncovered hundreds of indecent images of children, some of an extreme nature, along with proof that Stafford had engaged in sexual abuse of a minor.
Currently residing in Pershore, Worcestershire, Stafford declined to comment during two police interviews.
However, investigators built an extensive case leading to his guilty plea on multiple charges: - One count of assaulting a child under 13 by touching.
- Three counts of making indecent photographs of a child.
- One count of taking indecent photographs of a child.
- One count of possession of an extreme images of an animals.
- One count of possession of a prohibited images of a child.
- One count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
- One count of distributing indecent photographs of a child.
On Monday, 29 June, Stafford appeared at Warwick Crown Court, where he was sentenced to a prison term of six years.
