SHIFNAL PAEDOPHILE BENJAMIN HOWELLS SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN PRISON

Shifnal Child Sexual Abuser
In October 2016, Benjamin Howells, a 32-year-old resident of High Street, Shifnal, was sentenced to eight years in prison at Shrewsbury Crown Court for serious sexual offences involving a child.

He pleaded guilty to seven charges, which included the sexual assault of a child under 13 and inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Judge Peter Barrie handed down the sentence, specifying that Howells would serve half of his term in custody before being released on licence.

Furthermore, upon release, Howells will be subject to one year of post-release supervision.

In addition, the court imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to restrict his activities and protect the community.
