BENJAMIN FROST REARRESTED IN ROCHE FOR CONTINUING CHILD ABUSE IMAGE OFFENCES

Benjamin Frost, a known paedophile from Roche, has been重新入狱 nearly five years after being given a chance at rehabilitation following his initial possession of approximately one million images of child abuse in 2020.

On October 15, 2020, Frost, then aged 37, was sentenced at Truro Crown Court to a community order coupled with a rehabilitation program.

Despite this, he breached the order four times and was caught with additional indecent photographs.

Frost, who lives on Tregeagle Road in Roche, appeared before the same court on April 17 to face sentencing after admitting to producing indecent images and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

His violations included the possession of around one million sexual images depicting children being raped and abused, for which he pleaded guilty.

His defense team argued that Frost required help rather than imprisonment, but the judge emphasized that his offending had persisted despite prior interventions intended to curb it.

The court was informed that his SHPO was due to expire later that year; however, in January, police discovered he had uploaded Category A indecent images of children.

Authorities seized his mobile phone, which contained encrypted apps that Frost refused to unlock.

His barrister acknowledged that Frost now accepted he deserved punishment and expressed concern about the relatively small number of images, suggesting that community-based sanctions could still be appropriate.

Nonetheless, His Honour Judge Simon Carr condemned Frost’s failure to benefit from previous rehabilitation efforts and highlighted the ongoing risk he posed.

Frost was sentenced to 15 months in prison, with a requirement to serve at least 40% of the sentence before release.
