WYTHENSHAWE PAEDOPHILE CHEF BENJAMIN BEHAN CAUGHT AGAIN IN SHOCKING INCIDENT

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Wythenshawe, Benjamin Behan, a 25-year-old chef, has once again found himself at the center of a serious criminal investigation involving child exploitation. The incident unfolded after Behan was caught by vigilant paedophile hunters, who set up a decoy account pretending to be a 14-year-old girl to lure him into inappropriate conversations.

According to reports, Behan, who resides on Inglesham Close in Wythenshawe, initially engaged in seemingly innocent chat with the decoy, discussing everyday topics such as the coronavirus pandemic. However, the tone quickly shifted as Behan began to make sexual advances, suggesting they could meet in a hotel room and asking whether she wanted to be naked in bed with him. During the online exchanges that spanned over two days, he inquired about how long it would take her to undress, revealing his disturbing intentions.

Prosecutor Amanda Johnson detailed that Behan explicitly asked the decoy how long it would take her to get undressed and expressed a desire to meet in person, which prompted the paedophile hunters to take action. They visited Behan’s home, where his stepfather answered the door. It was at this point that Behan, confronted with his own words, admitted, “Yes, I’ve done it again.”

Following his arrest, Behan was taken in for police questioning. During the interview, he acknowledged engaging in sexual conversations but insisted that the idea of meeting in a hotel was merely “pure fantasy.” Despite his claims, the evidence against him was compelling enough to secure a conviction.

Behan pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, and attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act. His actions demonstrated a clear pattern of predatory behavior, which the court found deeply concerning.

In sentencing, Judge Anthony Cross QC expressed his disappointment with Behan’s attitude, noting that the defendant had shown contempt for the rehabilitation efforts offered through the Horizon scheme, which aims to reform sex offenders. The judge stated, “Your behaviour, I’m afraid, has demonstrated that you will not comply. You described the Horizon programme as a ‘load of cr**,’ so custody must follow,” before sentencing Behan to 16 months in prison.

This case underscores the ongoing threat posed by individuals like Behan and highlights the importance of vigilant community efforts to protect vulnerable children from exploitation and abuse.
