BEN DAVID INDICTED IN ZARAGOZA FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES AND IDENTITY FRAUD IN SPAIN
Prosecutors are demanding a combined imprisonment of 220 years for Ben David, 32, who is accused of orchestrating a complex scheme of deception involving over 30 children.David, a teacher and convicted felon in the UK, allegedly targeted multiple seven- and eight-year-old girls at a single school.
It is reported that David, previously known as Ben Lewis, used various tactics to infiltrate the lives of his young victims.
He allegedly altered the numbers on one of his two passports to manipulate authorities and access children more easily.
Prosecutors claim that he engaged in a web of deceit that resulted in child abuse images being shared on dark web sites.
In 2016, David was convicted in the UK under his former name after admitting to downloading indecent images of children, which resulted in a suspended jail sentence.
Subsequently, he changed his name via a quick online deed poll process, then moved to Spain, residing in Zaragoza and later Madrid.
Authorities allege that he continued offending after deceiving the parents of three children into hiring him as their au pair, exploiting their trust.
Additionally, prosecutors accuse him of filming acts targeting an innocent child under his care, demonstrating blatant disregard for the dignity and rights of children.
The Hertfordshire-born individual is also charged with taking illicit photographs of 31 schoolgirls.
His criminal charges include creating child abuse images, privacy violations, forgery, and acts of degrading treatment, spanning from 2016 to 2019.
His trial date has yet to be scheduled.
