‘DANGEROUS’ ST CYRUS MAN JAILED AFTER HE BARGED INTO WOMAN’S HOME AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HER
Barry Duggan, aged 26, appeared before Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he confessed to forcefully entering a woman’s residence wielding a carving fork.He demanded to know the whereabouts of her husband.
When she responded that her husband was not present, Duggan lunged at her, attempted to kiss her, and issued threats to "cut" her husband, while brandishing a carving fork and asking if she was aware of how dangerous he was.
Subsequently, Duggan sexually assaulted her by grabbing her breast, trying to kiss her again, and attempting to put his tongue into her mouth.
He also inquired if he could "touch her down there," then proceeded to grab her breast and put his mouth on it.
Following the assault, Duggan attempted to force open the front door and scratched the couple’s car.
Police were eventually called to the scene, and during a stand-off, Duggan shouted obscenities from his mother’s window upstairs.
He pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting the woman and to conduct that was threatening.
The sheriff sentenced him to a prison term of three and a half years, mandated that he register as a sex offender for life, and imposed a 10-year non-harassment order.
