MAN SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man has received a prison sentence of five years and four months following convictions for sexual crimes in the Highlands.
Ashton Wilton, aged 40, admitted guilt to charges of rape and indecent communication during a hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh on 24 April.
He was subsequently sentenced at the same court on Tuesday, 9 June, 2026.
The criminal acts occurred between 2007 and November 2020 within the Easter Ross region.
In addition to his prison term, Wilton has been registered on the Sexual Offenders Register.
