June 2016 Shotton man pressurised girl, 15, to kiss him at McDonald’s in Chester A man ignored a child abduction warning notice to meet up with and kiss a 15-year-old schoolgirl, a court heard. Police officers had previously told Ashley Hill, 26, that he must not contact the girl after her sister raised concerns about his contact with her They made him the subject of an abduction notice, which bans contact and is aimed at protecting vulnerable youngsters from possible child sexual exploitation. But soon afterwards, he met her and one of her friends at a McDonald’s restaurant in Chester and “pressurised” the teenager into kissing him again. Chester Crown Court heard the defendant had a mental age younger than his chronological one, and also had Asperger’s Syndrome – a form of autism. Hill, of Chevrons Road, Shotton, pleaded guilty to one charge of engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, and was handed a two-year community order with a rehabilitation requirement. He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SOPO). Sentencing him, Judge Roger Dutton said: “It’s true to say that you have problems which the average individual does not have. This doesn’t give you an excuse, it just means things are a bit more difficult for you than they would be for others. “If you want to be in the company of young women, there’s nothing wrong with that – but they must be old enough. You know what that means. If this sort of thing happens again you really will be in serious trouble.” Oliver King, prosecuting, told the court that in March last year Hill, then aged 25, arranged to meet the girl at the Cheshire Oaks retail park in Ellesmere Port after chatting to her on Facebook.  They kissed, and her sister reported him to the police when she found out. But despite receiving the child abduction warning notice, Hill persevered with the relationship, Mr King said. “He completely ignored that notice and continued to make contact with her on social media and she with him,” he said. On March 20, 2015, he met her and one of her friends in McDonald’s before going for a walk to The Meadows.  The friend later told police that he had kissed the girl, who was “under pressure” to let him. Hill and the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, fell out soon afterwards and he began sending her abusive messages.  She told a teacher at school who reported the matter to police and the defendant was arrested.
