August 2015  Ashley Lewis Hammett 24, of Lancaster Street, Blackburn, has pleaded guilty to failing to comply with requirements of the Sex Offender Register. He was made subject to a 10pm to 7am curfew for six weeks and ordered to pay £150 criminal court charge, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge. February 2014 Accrington teen sentenced for child sex offences At a hearing at Burnley crown court on 9th December 2013, Ashley Hammett pleaded guilty to on charge of sexual activity with a female child under 16 years old Two other charges which included one count of sexual activity of a child under the age of 16 year old, and a charge of child abduction relating to the same child were not pursued by the CPS Hammett was due to be sentenced on 21st January 2014, but failed to appear.  Ashley Hammett received a conditional discharge for two years. He was placed on the sex offenders register for two years
