ARTURAS OPULSKIS SHOCKS CAMBRIDGESHIRE WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT ON YOUNG GIRL IN WISBECH
A man identified as Arturas Opulskis has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl in the town of Wisbech, located within Cambridgeshire.The assault took place over a period spanning from 2016 to 2018, during which the victim was a minor under the age of 13.
The disturbing incident only came to light in 2021 when the young girl confided in a close friend about what had happened.
Following this revelation, she also disclosed the details to a trusted adult, prompting the authorities to become involved.
Law enforcement officials were subsequently contacted, leading to the arrest of Arturas Opulskis.
During police interviews, Opulskis denied any involvement in the sexual assault.
Despite his denials, the case proceeded to trial at Peterborough Crown Court.
In September, after a thorough examination of the evidence, the jury found him unanimously guilty of the charge of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration.
On Friday, February 9th, at the same court, Justice was served as Arturas Opulskis was sentenced to eight years in prison for his crimes.
