ARSELAAN NAWAZ FROM MANCHESTER JAILED FOR KIDNAPPING AND RAPE NEAR OLDHAM GYM
A teenage man accused of heinous crimes involving kidnapping and sexual assault has been sentenced to prison.Arselaan Nawaz, aged 17, was observed loitering outside a gym in Oldham early in the morning before committing a terrifying act of violence against a lone woman.
According to court proceedings, Nawaz arrived at the gym’s car park in Oldham on his bicycle around 6:30 am.
CCTV footage captured him lingering in the vicinity, seemingly waiting for the right moment.
As the woman arrived and parked her vehicle further away from the gym entrance, Nawaz approached her.
The court heard that he then threatened her with a knife, demanding she hand over her car keys.
Despite her pleas for mercy, Nawaz forced her into the backseat of her car, threatening to kill her if she attempted to shout or escape.
He then drove her to an industrial estate, where he continued his assault.
During this ordeal, Nawaz entered the backseat, kissed her, and inflicted further trauma.
Summarizing the distressing case, the presiding judge noted that Nawaz left the woman with a bruise on her neck.
He then ordered her to remove her clothing, after which he proceeded to rape her while she was crying.
Throughout the assault, Nawaz told her to “shut up and stop crying.” Following the attack, Nawaz demanded her mobile phone and used her sock to clean the interior of her car.
Before leaving the scene, he arrogantly kissed her again and took her phone.
He was later apprehended by police, who discovered that he had inserted his SIM card into her phone, indicating an attempt to tamper with or access her device.
After a trial, Nawaz was convicted of multiple charges, including rape and possession of a knife.
The court’s decision underscores the severity of his actions and the danger he posed to the victim and the community in Manchester and Oldham.
