MIGRANT IN HOTEL JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING VULNERABLE GIRL IN LONDON
A migrant living in a taxpayer-funded hotel near Heathrow has been sentenced to prison for a heinous sexual assault on a highly vulnerable young girl with learning difficulties.His name is Aron Hadsh, aged 27, originally from Eritrea.
He attacked the 19-year-old girl in June of the previous year.
The court revealed that Hadsh pursued her to a park in Fulham, West London, where he pinned her to his lap, touched her breasts, and groped her crotch for several minutes.
The victim managed to escape after the assault, during which Hadsh laughed as she fled.
She was sent by her mother to pick up fruit from a food bank when she was attacked.
The court heard that Hadsh had entered the UK illegally over the Channel three years ago and was caught five weeks after the attack when she recognized him while shopping.
Members of the public detained him until police arrived and arrested him.
The victim's statement was read out in court, describing feelings of nervousness, fear, and the difficulty in making friends due to her extreme vulnerability, exacerbated by the assault.
Hadsh showed no remorse in court and continued to plead his innocence at sentencing.
He was sentenced to 14 months in prison, which he will serve already, in addition to a five-year restraining order.
He was convicted of one count of sexual assault and acquitted of kidnapping.
The judge noted that Hadsh poses a high risk of serious harm to the public and is at high risk of reoffending, especially given that he was intoxicated during the attack.
Despite his already spending nearly a year in custody, he will not spend further time in prison.
The court also acknowledged that his conditions in prison are more challenging due to English not being his first language.
The victim expressed her fear and trauma, stating that she felt her body shut down during the attack and that it has made it even harder to make friends and trust others.
Hadsh’s actions and lack of remorse highlight the ongoing issues surrounding migrant offenders and their conduct in the UK.
