St Ives Sexual Abuser
A paedophile from St Ives, Armaan Ahmed, has been deemed a significant threat to adolescent girls by police. Following a successful court ruling on Friday, February 21, he has been issued a Sexual Risk Order (SRO). The SRO is a civil order targeting individuals who have not been convicted or cautioned but are considered potential dangers. Ahmed, aged 20, residing on Spinney Way, is now subject to strict conditions for the next five years. These include bans on contacting girls under 18, being in certain locations at specific times, loitering near educational or childcare facilities, and providing access to any internet-enabled devices, including PINs and passwords, for police inspection. He must also inform police of his whereabouts, devices, and activities related to potential contact with minors. According to PC Adriana Leaver Hernandez from the Child Exploitation Hub, Ahmed has demonstrated high risk as a sexual predator targeting vulnerable girls and women, with multiple reports made against him. The order aims to prevent further harm and protect the community. Breaching the SRO conditions is a criminal offence punishable by up to five years in prison and results in registration as a sex offender. Authorities encourage victims or concerned individuals to report any exploitation concerns via police or anonymous channels.
