ARCHIBALD ‘STEWART’ THORNTON OF ISLE OF ARRAN CONVICTED OF SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST YOUNG GIRL

In June 2017, a man was found guilty of serious sexual offences involving a young girl, with the proceedings taking place at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court. The individual in question is Archibald ‘Stewart’ Thornton, aged 53, who hails from Lamlash on the Isle of Arran. Known locally by his first name, Stewart, Thornton faced charges related to disturbing and unlawful conduct towards a female child.
