Kinmel Bay Sexual Abuser
A man named Antony Huws, who previously served as a police officer in North Wales, has been handed down a three-year prison sentence after being found guilty of sexually abusing a young girl nearly twenty years ago. The crimes took place in Kinmel Bay, where Huws, aged 66, committed these heinous acts against a girl when she was just five and seven years old.

Huws was convicted of attacking the girl during the period when he was entrusted with babysitting her mother’s daughter. The court heard that these offenses occurred many years ago, but the impact and severity of the crimes remain significant. In addition to his prison sentence, Huws has been ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, a measure that underscores the gravity of his offenses. Furthermore, he has been subjected to a notification order, which requires him to regularly update authorities about his whereabouts and activities.

It was also revealed that Huws had a prior conviction for indecent assault involving another child, highlighting a troubling pattern of behavior. The judge overseeing the case emphasized the breach of trust involved in this case, noting that Huws was a trusted family friend who exploited that trust to commit these wicked acts. The court condemned his actions as particularly reprehensible, given the position of trust he held and the vulnerability of his young victims.
