The incident came to light following a police investigation that uncovered a disturbing collection of material stored on his home computer equipment.On April 28, police officers visited McTearnen’s residence in Southland Gardens, Shildon, while he was at work. During this visit, they seized a significant amount of electronic devices, including an encrypted external hard drive. This device was found to contain a vast array of illicit images, totaling nearly 2,000, which spanned all three categories of severity recognized in such cases.
