ANTHONY FAIRHURST FROM SANKEY BRIDGES FACES COURT OVER SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION FAILURE IN WARRINGTON
Anthony Fairhurst, a 47-year-old resident of Samuel Street in Sankey Bridges, made a significant court appearance last week in connection with allegations related to his obligations as a registered sex offender. The case was heard at Warrington Magistrates’ Court, where Fairhurst faced charges concerning his failure to adhere to the requirements of the sex offender register.Specifically, the charge against him pertains to his neglect in registering multiple alias names with the police, which is a mandatory part of his registration duties. The failure occurred on May 27 in Warrington, where he did not update or provide the police with details of various pseudonyms he was using online. These aliases included usernames on several adult-themed websites such as ‘MyFlirts’, ‘LustyDream’, and ‘HottieNaughty’.
One particular username that was highlighted in the charge was ‘CompassionateQueenbhcgeb’, which he used on a meet-up website. The authorities emphasized that failing to register such aliases constitutes a breach of the conditions set out for sex offenders, aimed at ensuring public safety and monitoring.
During the court proceedings, Fairhurst indicated that he intended to plead guilty to the charges brought against him. After his plea, the magistrates found him guilty and proceeded to adjourn the case. The court ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared, which will help determine the appropriate sentencing. The next hearing has been scheduled for July 3, and Fairhurst was remanded on unconditional bail, meaning he is to return to court on that date without any additional restrictions.
Fairhurst’s case highlights ongoing concerns about compliance among registered sex offenders and the importance of strict enforcement of registration laws to protect the community. The court’s decision to delay sentencing underscores the need for thorough assessments before final judgment is made.
