ANTHONY DORE FROM BULWELL SENTENCED FOR PREDATORY CALLS TO CHILDREN IN LONDON AND BEYOND
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community, Anthony Dore, a 50-year-old man residing on St Alban's Road in Bulwell, Nottingham, has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of heinous offences involving the exploitation of children.The court heard that Dore engaged in a prolonged campaign of sexual misconduct, during which he made numerous phone calls to children across various regions, including London, Norfolk, the West Midlands, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire.
Between July 2003 and February 2005, Dore used the guise of a teacher from the local education authority to contact young victims, both boys and girls aged between five and 12 years old.
He would often claim to be calling to discuss relaxation techniques, a ruse that allowed him to establish communication with the children or their parents.
Once contact was made, he would proceed to ask sexually explicit questions, encouraging the children to touch themselves, thereby causing significant psychological harm.
Despite being on bail during part of this period, Dore continued his predatory behavior, making dozens of calls using multiple SIM cards and pay-as-you-go phones to evade detection.
He was particularly selective, targeting families from ethnic minority backgrounds whose contact details he found in the phone book, believing that these children would be more compliant with his requests.
His victims ranged widely in age and location, illustrating the extensive reach of his malicious activities.
