January 2022 Pervert sentenecd to six and a half years A man from St Albans has been jailed at St Albans Crown Court today (Monday 10 January) after being found guilty of committing sexual offences against a teenage girl over a number of years.
79-year-old Anthony Dear, also known as Danny, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, having previously been found guilty of five counts of sexual activity with a child.
He was convicted on Wednesday 15 December, following a trial.
Dear, of Ladies Grove, will also be placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and must abide by the terms of a sexual harm prevention order.
