ANTHONY BULLETT AND HIS SHOCKING BREACHES IN ESSEX
A 73-year-old man from Essex has been sentenced to prison after repeatedly violating a sexual harm prevention order within a short period.Anthony Bullett, who resides on Alexandra Road in Harwich, was handed a sentence of 32 months at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday, March 17.
The court proceedings followed his admission to breaching the terms of a sexual harm prevention order on 12 separate occasions over a span of just over a month, from November 28, 2022, to January 12, 2023.
This pattern of breaches raised significant concern among local authorities and community members alike, as it indicated a pattern of disregard for court-mandated restrictions designed to protect vulnerable populations, particularly young girls.
Detective constable Mark Harrington, who led the investigation, provided insight into the case.
He explained that Bullett had moved into the Harwich area in November 2022 and, almost immediately, committed violations of his existing SHPO.
The order clearly prohibited him from having contact or any form of association with females under the age of 16.
Despite these restrictions, Bullett was observed attending events where children were present, often accompanied by their parents.
Such behavior was obviously concerning to authorities and community members, although thankfully, there have been no reported incidents of harm or actual misconduct involving Bullett and young girls.
Detective Harrington expressed gratitude for the vigilance of local residents who raised concerns, enabling law enforcement to intervene effectively.
